My Maserati Doesn’t Go 185 Anymore
So, there’s a car in your way, and you work for a construction company. What do you do?
Do you
A. Set off the alarm, and attempt to alert the owner.
B. Call the police and get them to move it.
C. Ram it with your Holden Ute to push it out the way.
D. Pick it up with your forklift and place it down the road.
A building worker in Elizabeth Bay found a dark blue 1999 Maserati 3200 in a construction zone this morning, but his plans to move it didn’t quite go according to plan.
As the worker hoisted the car two metres into the air, it flipped off the forks and crashed on its roof.
It is unclear if the car is a write-off.
A local resident said workers for the construction company had been moving cars in the street with forklifts for some time whilst they workng.
“They’ve been doing it for months now,” he said. “It’s outrageous and just really arrogant.”
Police have said that charges against the man who moved the car were possible as only council and the police hae the right to move cars.
I think it’s fair to say the forklift driver is in for a career change.

Shouldn’t have parked in front of a construction zone then.
As a forklift driver, if anyone does this to me, i’ll be doing the same. Wont need to lift it 2 meters in the air, but it will be moved out of my way, if it’s scratched, tough.

Goes to show you that there’s a lot of idiots out there, yourself included.
Call the authorities, get them to deal with it - you don’t take the law into your own hands. If you do, you’re just a punk-ass civillian who perhaps wishes they were in law enforcement or had a job with more ‘power’.
