Omega Closes
One of my favourite restaurants in recent times around Sydney town, Omega (read the review from October 2005) - has closed its doors.
Word has it that owner Peter Conistis has been forced into bankruptcy and had no other alternative but to close the business, terminate employees and surrender control of the premises in the week before Christmas.

Sad news, especially after they tried to make it work with the cheap foyer area, etc.

thanks for solving an otherwise weird mystery. i tried ringing the restaurant last friday with no luck, so i decided to walk up to King Street today as i wanted to check it out tonight prior to one of the Sydney Festival gigs..what a bugger.. their website is still up and running with no mention of whats happened. was so looking forward to it…
