Brennan Green Hits Sydney

Mad Racket presents its annual all-in, two-room Fat Tuesday extravaganza on a Saturday night, featuring all-new exciting guests and a Kylie-free music policy on March 4th.

Originally hailing from Toronto, Brennan Green grew up a skinny Canadian raver until he started DJing and slowed the bpms, making some waves in the underground.

He moved to New York in the late ’90s to further pursue his musical urges, kicking things off with a release on John Selway’s acclaimed minimal house label CSM. Through mutual music equipment geekery, Brennan befriended disco obsessive Daniel Wang, which led to releases, co-productions and remixes on Danny’s cult label Balihu. Since then Brennan has produced and remixed for a slew of arists and labels, including Bear Funk, Liquid Liquid, Alexi Delano, Wave, Rush Hour, Output, Coco Machete, Peacefrog, Moodmusic, Paper, Modal, his own new imprint Chinatown and of course Sydney’s own Risky Disko.

Throughout his production schedule Brennan has continued his passion for DJing an eclectic mix of deep house, minimal electro, disco and funk. At his own night ‘Pop Your Funk’ he has hosted guests as diverse as Andy Weatherall, Sal Principato (Liquid Liquid) and Maurice Fulton. He remains a respected jock in his own right in NYC and well beyond, playing Japan and Europe, including at Sweden’s famous Raw Fusion night.
